Our decentralized philosophy of on-property entrepreneurial management teams is critical to our success. Each team has the autonomy to respond to local market conditions while operating within the Octogone culture. We focus on making our hotel heavens for our guest, hence the term "My Heaven on Earth".
The properties general manager’s duty is not the expansion or promotion of a chain of hotels, but the success of the individual property.We empower our general managers to work solely on the success of their own property while being able to tap into a vast resource of corporate information. The general manager can make practical decisions without the scrutiny of being second guessed. Much focus goes into ensuring availability in all appropriate channels of distribution, and through revenue and yield management practices at the general managers fingertips. Properties also have access to corporate represetnaiton and marketing tools, including past guest databases and web-based lead referral systems.
The Octogone culture includes very strong and aggressive outbound sales and marketing efforts. By allocating the lion’s share of marketing dollars to driving outbound sales efforts, we concentrate on bringing opportunities directly to the property. Prospective business opportunities undergo a rigorous review by the sales team each day to determine which prospects bring the greatest overall contribution to the property.
Our teams are empowered with decision-making authority, and our number one goal is the satisfaction of our most valued asset, our guests. Our management teams meet daily and are in constant communication to guarantee the successful experience of our guests.
Marketing
To manage primarily independent properties, it is vital that we place great emphasis on our strong outbound sales efforts with a daily business review that evaluates all prospective business opportunities for their overall contribution to the property.
Octogone Hotels further defy the typical hotel chain marketing approach, by exclusively selecting the channel allowed to promote and book our properties. Our properties are small and distinctive, each with an enormous emphasis on customer service. To manage this, we take the creative approach that all of our guests are actually invitees of our property, their soon-to-be second home. This allows us to focus on our guests’ needs from all aspects of their visit.
Guests who typically stay with us are corporate executives, actors, sports, figures, government officials, etc., looking for the highest levels of service, comfort, and security. We provide all of these in our offerings. Our properties are also quaint and the perfect size for easily managing private retreats, weddings, social gatherings, and other banquet events. We have a team specializing and meticulously arranging such events down to perfection.
